Fort Myers: Florida Town Full of Adventure and Charm

Fort Myers is one of my favorite Florida towns! There is a reason everyone loves Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Fort Myers, Florida, is a fun destination that offers a little bit of everything—from friendly attractions and historic landmarks to stunning beaches and a lively downtown scene. Over the years, it has become a must-visit spot on Southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast, renowned for its pristine shelling beaches and welcoming atmosphere. There is always something for everyone in Fort Myers!

About Fort Myers: Your Gateway to Island Escapes

Situated on the lower Gulf Coast, Fort Myers is the heart of Southwest Florida, strategically located at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River. While it’s not directly on the Gulf, Fort Myers serves as the perfect gateway to a string of barrier islands like Pine Island, Sanibel, Captiva, and Estero Island, home to the popular Fort Myers Beach. These islands beautifully frame the river’s mouth as it meets the Gulf of Mexico, offering visitors a blend of inland charm and coastal adventure.

With 590 miles of shoreline, including 50 miles of soft, white sand beaches and more than 100 barrier and coastal islands, Fort Myers is a dream come true for beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
